Default Error 62

Some people have experienced an error #62 when trying to view photos, most often after updating their software from a previous version. The error 62 is among the easiest to fix since it generally means that a setting is not right. Your tour data is probably fine, though.

To eliminate the error, follow these steps.
  1. Close the VisualTour software if it is open.

  2. Open the BTI.INI file, which you will find in the \windows directory (or you could click START - RUN and type BTI.INI)

  3. Locate the section titled [Btrieve]. It will look similar to the following.
    [Btrieve]
    tasks=40
    local=no
    requester=no
    verbose=0
    chkparms=No
    Thunk=Yes

  4. Change the "local=" line to equal yes, and the "thunk=" line to equal no as follows.
    [Btrieve]
    tasks=40
    local=yes
    requester=no
    verbose=0
    chkparms=No
    Thunk=no

  5. Save the revised BTI.INI, and try the software again. Note that it is sometimes necessary to restart Windows before the fix takes effect.
