Question Setting up Visual Tours to meet Advertising requirements

Is there a way to set up Visual Tours to automatically meet the following requirements by my state laws and push by local MLS to enforce.

Craig's List
Advertising on Craig's List must follow the administrative rules:
Chapter 10
10.1.7

A licensee using any Internet electronic communication for advertising or marketing, including but not limited to E-mail, E-mail discussion groups, and bulletin boards, must include on the first or last page of all communications the following data:
a. The licensee's name;
b. The name of the firm with which the licensee is affiliated as that firm name is registered with the commission (abbreviations are not permitted);
c. The city and state in which the licensee's office is located; and
d. The states in which the licensee holds a real estate broker or salesperson license

PS; I really like the custom links designed for Craig's list and some other locations.

Default Re: Setting up Visual Tours to meet Advertising requirements

As you have noticed, the current Craigslist automated ad creation includes most, but not all, of those items. We designed the ad to be a good starting point for agents, who can certainly add (or carefully remove) anything they want to suit their needs while being complete enough that they do not necessarily need to add anything. We are open to modification of the basic ad, and a few ideas have come in since we introduced the feature. Some have been added, but if we add too much to the ads, they might get a bit clunky. Up to this point, therefore, we have felt it wise to limit the items we have added. It is easier for an agent to add more information than to take things away since adding things never hurts the ad, while removing too much can accidentally result in losing part of the HTML code needed.

For example, if you wanted to add something saying your office is in Des Moines, IA to meet the reqquirements you stated, it is easy for you to locate your company name in the Craigslist ad and then just add "in Des Moines, IA" after it.

Getting back to your question of automating the additional information, each change we make depends on multiple factors, but when it is possible/practical, we want to help people adhere to legal requirements. Is the information you provided part of a state law or local MLS rule? If we do automate some changes, we definitely want to make sure we are able to read the documentation in full to ensure not only that the ad follows the law, but also the tour itself is compliant. Is there an online site where we can read more about the rule or law or perhaps someone we can contact who can mail or fax us additional information?

As a short term (or possibly even mid term) solution, we would be happy to assist you in how to add the city and state to the company information if you do not see it clearly in the ad. For the long term, let us know where we can learn more about the rule or law. VisualTour support can be reached toll free at 800-873-0700 (option 1) or via email at support@VisualTour.com. The staff is ready to help from 8AM to 8PM (Eastern) on weekdays and 9AM to 6PM (Eastern) on Saturdays.

Here is a link to Iowa Code: http://www.legis.state.ia.us/aspx/ACODocs/DOCS/4-8-2009.193E.10.pdf

Thanks for your efforts on this.
