Default VisualTour Introduces Bilingual (Spanish) Viewer

VisualTour is excited to announce that the online viewer is now bilingual! Effective immediately, the menus and selected other areas can be set to appear in your choice of English or Spanish. Normally, users will be able to choose for themselves by selecting the LANGUAGES option (or IDIOMAS option if they are using the Spanish viewer) at the bottom of the viewer's menus, although you can also choose to remain in full control.

This new addition is available in both the Classic and Cinema viewers, and and can be set on an account level (change default for all tours at one time) or on a per tour basis.

Note that changing the viewer itself does NOT change the captions and descriptions that you entered for the tour and its scenes. It changes only the menus and some field titles on the Property Details and Flyer screens. If you want a copy of the tour to be completely in Spanish, you should upload the tour twice, and enter Spanish captions and descriptions in one of the copies. You can then change that copy's default language to Spanish.

To change your default for all tours in your account:
  1. Log into your account at

  2. From the My Account screen, click Viewer Layout.

  3. Scroll down to the Default Language section, and use the drop down list to select your preference for all tours.

  4. Click SAVE in the upper right.

To change your default for only a specific tour:
  1. Log into your account at

  2. From the My Account screen, click My Tours.

  3. Click the INFO button next to the tour you want to change.

  4. Scroll down to the Viewer Options section, and use the drop down list next to Default Language to select your preference.

***** NOTE: If a person viewing a tour chooses a language from the menu, it is assumed that the person prefers that language, so that selection will allow the person to keep his or her preference when viewing other tours rather than needing to change back for each tour.

To disable the option for buyers to select their own language:

Although it is not recommended, you can remove the menu option that allows people to choose a language. Doing so will force people to view the tour in the language you selected unless they previously chose a preference for themselves as noted above. To disable the option, uncheck the Language box in the Menu Options section of the Viewer Layout screen. Click SAVE in the upper right.
