Default Floor Plans/hotspots

I have seen some tours that use a map or floor plan in the tour and then put on a hotspot that leads people to that place. What is the best way to get the floorplan loaded as a visual tour photo? Does it take special software?

Default Two Important Things to Keep in Mind

There are no special tricks involved in importing floor plans, but there are two things to keep in mind.

1) The tour viewer resizes itself based on the available space on a person's screen, and floor plans containing narrow lines that do not resize as well as regular photos. Stick to floor plans that have heavy lines if possible.

2) Just as narrow lines can vary in appearance, so can fine text. If the floor plan contains text, small text or fine line typefaces can become less clear.

With those two things in mind, you should have nice clean looking floor plans, so you can add your hotspots. Of course, if all you have is a floor plan that you photographed or scanned, you might not have too much flexibility in the lines or text, but if you are drawing one (or have the opportunity to clean up a scanned image) then using heavier lines and bolder text will help the floor plan appear more clean when it is resized in the viewer.
