Default Other "&close=true" commands

Is there a way that I can pass other JavaScript commands to the parent window of a tour.

The default activity after using the (example)

http://www.visualtour.com/show.asp?T=xxxxxx

link is for the parent window to

window.history.back();

(go back).

Under the link properties for a tour, I can pass the command &close=true, is there anyway I can send a URL for the parent window to load?

Thank you.

There are not other parameters that can be fed into the URL.

If your goal is to load a different page into that blank one, then you should point your URL to the "other page" that you want loaded, then in the HTML for that page, include a redirect (meta refresh command) to open the tour. You could then use the &close=true parameter in that redirect to get rid of the extra window.

If we misunderstood your question, then please let us know what your ultimate goal is so we can tell you if there is a way to accomplish it.

This is my situation. Our MLS does not want us to link to a branded tour. But the rules of our MLS only apply when the visitor is at the MLS site.

When you click on a tour link on our MLS, a seperate window pops open, and then the tour window opens as well. I've been able to use the "&close=true" command to close the blank popup window. I would like to make it so when the visitor clicks the tour link on the MLS site, our branded tour opens, and then the blank popup window loads a page I wrote that will close itself and load our company web site in the parent window.

[MLS Listing Page] - Parent Window
[Blank Popup Window] -
[VisualTour Window]

So the end result when clicking a virtual tour link in the MLS listing page would be the popup of the branded tour, and the main widow with our company web page.

You said you wrote a page that will close itself and load your company site in the parent window in place of the MLS site. I suppose your theory is that you are not violating rules since the MLS site is closed. If that is your plan, then continue to let it load your company site in the parent (MLS) window, BUT instead of closing itself, let it show the tour.

Just use this code to embed the tour into your special page.

<div align="center"><iframe src='http://www.visualtour.com/showvt.asp?t=123456'
width=525 height=465></iframe></div>

but change the tour number from 123456 to your tour number.

If you absolutely have to open the tour window first (which you already said violates your MLS rules, so based on my limited understanding of the situation, you should not be doing it) then the answer is that currently, it cannot be done. If you are certain that closing the MLS site is enough to keep you out of trouble, then use the embedded tour method above and you will be all set.
